Wearing a Dress on a Hot Day

“Hey, mum, we’re chill-axing.”

It’s summer, it’s hot, and my wife is happy to wear her favorite blue dress, which looks more than good on her.

I tell her, she smiles, and then sticks her tongue out at me.

Our youngest daughter is as observant as I am, and so when my wife wears the dress for a third straight day, the 10-year-old asks her, “Are you wearing that dress again?”

“Yes, I am,” my wife says.

The next day brings the same scenario.

“Again?”

“Yes.”

I smile and think how so alike they are.
