Want a brief break in your day to laugh, smile or have one of those aha parenting moments? “Hey, that’s happened to me.” Or: “I’d never do that!”
The newsletter is sent out every Saturday. Well, most of the time. Some weeks I may get too busy with work or ferrying the kids around, so it may go out the next day. Or not at all.
Parenting is not easy.
Or is it?
I’ve read a lot about different parenting techniques. And mine don’t really fit into many of the advice columns, except, maybe, those recommending a sort-of laissez-faire approach, such as Free-Range Kids and The Idle Parent. My suggestions are pretty simple: take deep breaths, be there for your kids and let a lot of shit slide. That latter works best when you’ve not got the caffeine jitters or you’re not trying to get your ass in bed after a long day. But with enough space and time of their own, I think kids can grow into confident, free, happy and pretty self-reliant people. Hey, I did. I think.
I hope you like the stories and share them with your family and friends, even your spouse.
