Surfing

I took my eldest daughter surfing on her own board for the first time, and she started to catch the dream of searching for waves around the world.

I took my son bodysurfing in the shore break, gave him a few pointers and he said, “Let’s go!”

After months of living in the city, we’re at the beach for the summer and the surfing is fine. My body is not quite fine. Not yet, at least.

Take a lesson from my eight-year-old daughter. When she says take your surfboard to the beach, listen to her. She knows best. Believe me.

I used to live by the beach in a pine forest, and the surf was fine. Now I live in a big city far from the beach and pine to get back into the surf.

I got an ear infection, spoiling my last days of surfing in the summer before returning to the city. Then my daughter gave me reason to cheer.
